PARENT & TOT: 6 - 36 months:
This is a safe way to introduce your child to the life-long pleasure of swimming. Infants and toddlers are in a parent/tot setting. At least one parent per child is required to be in the pool. 6 lessons, one day per week for 30 minutes.
PRE-SCHOOL AQUATICS: 3-4 years old
Pre-school 1: Ages 3-4
Prerequisite: Beginner, no previous experience necessary
Learns: Face in water, back float, sitting dive and glide
Pre-school 2: Ages 3-4
Prerequisite: back float, sitting dive and glide, unassisted
Learns: Armstroke and breathing for freestyle and backstroke
These programs allow pre-schoolers to enjoy exploring and experiencing the water WITHOUT Mom or Dad. 6 lessons, one day per week for 30 minutes.
PROGRESSIVE SWIM: 5 years old and up
Six lessons, one day per week for 6 weeks for 30 minutes. There are 10 levels to complement the child’s skill level. Parents select preferred day and time slot.
Level 1
Prerequisites: Beginner, no previous experience needed
Learns: Face in the water, bobbing, sitting dive and glide, backfloat
Level 2
Prerequisite: 5 bobs, sitting dive and glide unassisted and be comfortable floating on back with some assistance
Learns: Front and back floats and glides with good body and head positions. 10 Bobs
Level 3
Prerequisite: 10 Bobs good air exchange, front and back glide from wall in good position
Learns: Flutter kick on front and back holding good streamline position. Kneeling dive
Level 4
Prerequisite: Good streamline with proper flutter kicking on front and back
Learns: Rotary breathing and freestyle armstroke, standing dive
Level 5
Prerequisite: 25 yds. Freestyle with rotary breathing 25yds Back kick
Learns: Bilateral breathing for freestyle and armstroke for backstroke. Dive from block
Level 6
Prerequisite: 25 yds. Freestyle with bilateral breathing, 25yds Back kick
Learns: Perfects technique for Freestyle and works on endurance. Learns Backstroke.
ADVANCED STROKE SCHOOL
Welcome to Advanced Stroke School. This level of instruction is to teach proper technique for the 4 competitive swim strokes; Butterfly, Backstroke, Breaststroke and Freestyle. Proper turns and starts will also be taught as well as learning how to read a pace clock and other skills necessary to know for participation in competitive swimming. The Advanced Stroke School will be divided into two skill levels: A.S.S. 1 and A.S.S. 2. It is recommended that if the swimmer cannot perform the minimum requirements that he participate in the upper levels of the lesson program until this skill level is achieved. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
